Love this little turniphead keychain!

I bought this as a gift for my best friend since she loves the movie and it's the cutest keychain I have ever seen! Totally worth the effort.

Fun to put together and a delight to look at.

I purchased both this charm and a DIY handbag kit. I wanted to try the charm first, before challenging myself with a handbag. This charm was so much fun to make! I wish the No Face one were more accurate, with purple triangles around the eyes instead of blush spots, or I would totally get it too! The soot sprite was flat, but if you make a fillable one, it will be much more popular! I love Ghibli movies, so please, offer more Ghibli-themed charms like Totoro, Catbus and Calcifer to name a few.

This charm took me a little over three hours to complete. I would have liked to use white thread on his hands but couldn't figure out how to transition from different thread colors on the same step, so I just made it exactly as pictured in the stock photo. Overall, this was a lot of fun, but it turned out to be more challenging than the handbag kit, since the parts were so small. I recommend using a little bit of tape to hold in the pieces that aren't sew in, like the pipe and the eyes. I found that a toothpick really helped me insert and spread around the filling. Lastly, I did not use glue, I just cut the threads about 2mm and melted them with a lighter. Be careful when doing this with light-colored leather as you may singe it.

I really enjoyed making my own turnip head. Everything you need is included in the kit and the instructions were pretty easy to follow along. The bag charm feels more special to me because I put it together with my own hands. I will definitely make more in the future!
